Pontificia Accademia delle Scienze Sociali The Pontifical Academy of SociaI Sciences was established on 1 January 1994 by Pope John Paul II and is headquartered in the Casina Pio IV in Vatican City. It was established to promote the study of social sciences, primarily economics, sociology, law, and political science. Through appropriate dialogue it offers the Roman Catholic Church elements useful to the development of its social teaching, and it reflects on the application of that doctrine in contemporary society.
Child Dignity Alliance The Child Dignity Alliance, established following the visionary World Congress “Child Dignity in the Digital World” (at the Gregorian University, Rome, November 2017) and funded by the Human Dignity Foundation, has mobilised six different working groups to achieve the goals of the Declaration of Rome, signed at the end of the Congress and supported by Pope Francis; its overarching goal being to generate global awareness of the pandemic of Child Sexual Exploitation and Abuse by building and spreading knowledge through global research and interfaith collaboration.
Interfaith Alliance for Safer Communities
The Interfaith Alliance for Safer Communities was established to empower faith leaders to work for safety and security of our communities, tackling issues such as child sexual abuse, extremism and radicalization and human trafficking. We aim to facilitate the building of bridges between faiths, NGOs and experts in various domains. We are conscious of the importance of empowering faith leaders, both at the institutional and grass-roots levels, with knowledge and to mobilize them to play an active role in community safety.
