The Lineamenta of the Special Assembly of the Episcopal Synod for the Middle East (Vatican City, 10-24 October 2010) about «The Catholic Church in the Middle East: communion and testimony” "And the heart and soul of the multitude of those that had believed were one" (Acts 4, 32) will be presented to the press on Tuesday, January 19th, 2010». They will be illustrated by mgr. Nikola Eteroviæ, Secretary General of the Episcopal Synod, and mgr. Fortunato Frezza, Undersecretary of the Episcopal Synod. On 19th September, 2009, Benedict XVI, after his pilgrimage in the Holy Land (8-15 May 2009), during a meeting with the Patriarchs of the East and the main Archbishops, announced the calling of a Special Assembly of the Episcopal Synod for the Middle East. An event in which the Pontiff’s speeches in Jordan, Israel and the Palestinian Territories, as well as those given during his journey in Turkey (28/11-1/12/2006), will be very important and relevant again.
