ECUMENISMO: KEK, TEOLOGI AL LAVORO SU “UNITÀ E IDENTITÀ” DELLA CHIESA

Quattro teologi, un anglicano, un cattolico, un luterano e un ortodosso, si sono riuniti il 22 febbraio scorso a Ginevra per dare il via ad un progetto di studio sulla unità della Chiesa lanciato dalla Commissione “Chiese in dialogo” della Conferenza delle Chiese europee (Kek). A darne notizia è oggi un comunicato della Kek, precisando che “obiettivo del progetto è quello di indagare la comprensione del concetto di unità della Chiesa in relazione al concetto di identità". I quattro teologi che partecipano al progetto sono Paul M. Collins, dell'Università inglese di Chichester, anglicano; Myriam Wijlens, dell’Università tedesca di Erfurt, cattolica; Minna Hietamaki, di Helsinki, della Chiesa Evangelica Luterana della Finlandia e il Viorel Ionita, membro della Commissione Kek per il dialogo, ortodossi romeno. L'idea di avviare questo progetto è nato nell’ambito della Commissione plenaria della Commissione "Fede e Costituzione” del Consiglio mondiale delle chiese, tenutasi lo scorso Ottobre a Creta. Il progetto prevede che l’analisi del tema sia esaminato non solo a livello teorico-teologico ma anche “a livello di esperienza vissuta” nelle chiese. Il progetto durerà fino a settembre 2012. “Ci auguriamo – dice Viorel Ionita - che in futuro altre tradizioni teologiche possano essere incluse, come quelle provenienti dai contesti delle chiese libere”.

The four theologians involved in the project are Paul M. Collins of the English University of Chichester, Anglican; Myriam Wijlens of the German University of Erfurt, Catholic; Minna Hietamaki, from Helsinki, of the Lutheran Evangelical Church of Finland, and the Rumanian Orthodox Viorel Ionita, member of the Kek commission for dialogu. The idea of the project came from the Plenary Commission of the “Faith and Constitution” Committee of the World Council of the Church, which was held in Crete last October. According to the project, the issue must be investigated not just in theoretical and theological terms but also “in terms of the experience lived” in the Churches. The project will go on until September 2012. “We hope – says Viorel Ionita – that in future other theological traditions may be included, such as those from the free Churches”.
