Sofia, Bulgaria -  Patriarch Neophyte of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church expressed his anticipation of the three-day visit from the Russian Patriarch Kirill starting on March 2, 2018.

In a press release, Patriarch Neophyte stated: “For 140 years we have lived with our faith in a free society. God’s biggest gift is freedom, that’s why we won’t forget to thank Him for His mercy, as well as thank all our heroes who gave their lives in the name of their neighbors.” The Russian Patriarch will arrive for the celebration of Bulgaria’s biggest national holiday – Liberation day. Neophyte said he’s anticipating to conduct a liturgy with his Russian counterpart.
