On Thursday, May 31, 2012, the Holy and Sacred Synod, at the recommendation of His All-Holiness, unanimously elected Archimandrite Joseph Bosch, Chancellor of the Holy Metropolis of Buenos Aires, to the rank of bishop and the title of Bishop of Patara, to serve as assistant to Metropolitan Tarasios of Buenos Aires. The Holy Synod held its regular meeting on May 30-31, 2012.
